Maybe if somebody is still asking what the A319 is still good for. I guess you have to read this older Airbus presentation about ultra height airports. There seems be really a market niche only the A319 is serving and Airbus seems to aggresively supporting it. The order book speaks for itself, 2 orders likely exactly for that unique markets in China and South America. www.caac.gov.cn/ZTZL/RDZT/XJSYY/201511/P020151126413567294102.pdfThe attack on the A319neo one reads mainly in airliners.net by Boeing fans. My take is that the A319neo is a low cost development going for low hanging fruit. Airbus does not have to sell many frames to make that development profitable. Apart from the high, or hot and high, we will see some for other challenging airports, like short and windy, and a few ACJ and government frames.

No wonder, if you favorite company is ignoring that market. Reading that presentation it looks like serving it is not a piece of cake. So I guess you could be sure Airbus will get some premium for the extra efforts e.g. not selling them for big discounts. So there seems to be a clear business case.

Does somebody know if the change to P&W for MSN6464 has happened, or is it still flying as a LEAP frame?

How long would we need to make the change? Looks a little short to me since that last article of fg, counting the holidays and everything it's just barely a few days work, I guess the change should need at least a few weeks.
