Nobody claimed that Airbus would do a "thank-you-and-good-bye" speech. Engine contracts are between airline and engine manufacturer. The suggestion was that EA might do a "thank-you-and-good-bye" speech. This topic is about Emirates, so I don't understand why you need to bring up other airlines. The speech suggestion was clearly meant between EA and EK. a380fanclub Avatar

OK, I understood your point XWB. Now I know why we have different understanding on this.
I read the original post as EA get a speech - get means EA at the receiving end, not EA give a speech. This suggestion was not EA give a speech.
That is the only reason why I said they won't get such speech from Airbus, because Airbus got other airlines taking frames with EA engines. Now you can see why I've mentioned other airlines.

I guess ff mean other, non EK frames. There is only MSN 235 for Qatar coming up that is an EA frame, others are all RR ! I count definitely more.

This topic is about Emirates. A "thank-you-and-good-bye speech" would apply to Emirates as they are the customer. There are no further EA frames for Emirates in the pipeline. That's what I mean

EUI does her first service on Feb 23, to Sydney as EK412. Based on info elsewhere here I thought she was a LR version, but apparently not?
