Emirates's intention to introduce the A380 on a third service to Munich from June 1 have been changed. Only for 3 or four days did an A380 operate EK53/54, but most of the flights are still by 777.

They could be waiting for some more frames to operate it fully, MSN213, MSN214, etc...

I was looking into the use of ULR planes and find out: -the ULR routes i.e. DXB - America + DXB eastern Australia are always made by ULR plane - -i.e. one month back there never was LR plane on any route. However every day a typical LR route - i.e. DXB-EU a couple of flight are operated by ULR plane. So my deduction is they do have too many ULR planes and not enough LR ones -not speaking about "615" frames - those operate only their dedicated routes + sometimes something like to Riad, Jeddah....

From an operation point of view it is better to have a few extra ULRs, and rather be a little short on LR's The ULRs can be used on any routes, while the LR are "limited" to the shorter routes
