As zrhmd11 has pointed out the frame flying to DME now would easily serve the (new-)route to MXP from 1st/12. We are now at apparently 5 frames waiting for routes, MSN164 +the 4 frames made free from wing-repairs... I will think and assume that MSN165 will be delivered in November, making apparently 6 frames available for routes, and EK will need 4 frames to start the new routes to IAH and SFO early December, leaving 2 with no routes... .....+ MSN168+MSN169 supposed to be delivered this year... making then 4..... That's where I come surprised that the newly-announced route (3rd daily -JFK) comes to start only early March...... (one frame should be taken out from the restart of the DXB-KUL on 01/02/15). My point being, could this be a hint that neither MSN168 neither MSN169 would come delivered this year?... |

My point being, could this be a hint that neither MSN168 neither MSN169 would come delivered this year?... With such a large A380 fleet, EK needs some standby aircraft to supplement planes undergoing scheduled maintenance checks or unscheduled repairs. |

I will think also EK will start Perth any time the airport is ready so this could happen anytime from now to March

It was in this thread I believe. I Have to go back. It was supposed to start last March when the airport is ready. But then was delayed because I believe Emirates wants to build a lounge.

merci helios91! The idea I have from it (PER) is that it was announced a few times ranging in a few years (first time announced was probably back in 2009), sometimes announced with no date set, sometines announced with a specific date set, but always postponed unfortunately.. |
