Would at least make it neater delivery wise if the frames were in ascending sequence For the A380, I think this will never happen. With such a huge project, there will always be unexpected issues.

Thanks XWB! ...would this mean that MSN125 got only the temporary wing repair?... (as MSN108 did last year?...) so by extension MSN115 and MSN127 would also have had only a temporary repair?.......... Fabien

I believe that this is a reporting error (2014 instead of 2013), since EASA already has certified a permanent wing fix. It is probably difficult for a journalist to understand that 2013 is a special case, with a permanent fix applied before delivery instead of being retrofitted.

First, the temporary wing fix is already installed in Broughton. Second, installing the temporary wing fix takes only 1 month but MSN125 spent about 2 months in the hangar, which is the time necessary for the final wing fix. Airbus told the media that all first 120 A380s must undergo wing repair. The journalists simply assume those frames will be delivered without wing repair, but that makes no sense at all.

21 weeks without wing repair (was done in TLS already), that's a very long time.

Sorry sorry in fact it is 12 weeks for MSN125, I confused the number of weeks from MSN131. MSN125 did take 12 weeks for OF only, concern could be for MSN131, if MSN131 would take 12 weeks for OF only as well, MSN131 is now at 21 weeks so that's already 9 weeks extra for the wing repairs,... (unless OF would take a longer time for OF than MSN125,...) Fabien
