The PR for firming the 12 A220 options says that Delta operates 28 A350. So Far they have 19 factory frames + 6 frames fro LATAM intoduced or in the process of being introduced to the Delta fleet, with possibility of MSN48 to fly to SIN. What are the other two frames? fly.airbus.com/3XDe3N9Msn 24 and msn 27 leased from VMO Aircraft Leasing.

Delta order for a350-1000 will be at Paris Air Show: "The talks for A330neo and A350 jets aren’t yet at an advanced stage, the people said. But Airbus and Boeing’s marquee wide-body jets are in high demand, giving both sides an incentive to reach an agreement ahead of next month’s Paris Air Show, the aviation industry’s largest trade expo."

Some good news for future delta a350-900 deliveries. Delta recently reserved 14 future registrations for a350-900 deliveries (from 520 dn to 534 dn without 532). As Delta currently has backlog of 16 orders for a350-900 - probably there won't be any conversion of last 10 orders to A330neo or a350-1000 (only new orders for these type of aircraft): registry.faa.gov/database/ReleasableAircraft.zip

Not all the facts of course but well done RR for changing stratgy and insisting that customers pay for quality products and maintenance. Aitline CEOs are driven by outside iews fom stock markets. They could well reduce their own costs while actualy pay for the means of flying people safely and securely.
