I have a question about the wing load test. Do they test it to (say) 150% load of the -900 or the highest weight variant, the -1000? IIRC the -1000 has a slightly different wing so I would think they would need to do fatigue testing on it separately? I guess this would mean that they only need to test the current frame to 150% of the -900 loads. I'm no expert, perhaps someone can confirm?

I do not expect a second wing test for the A350-1000, they will test this wing to the maximum they have designed it for. Changes to the wing can be extrapolated in the future.

IIRC the -1000 has a slightly different wing The -1000 has pretty much the same wing but with a small trailing edge extension.

They test a -900 wing with -900 loads for now. The -1000 loads will be different so the -1000 wing will get local reinforcements. They will know where exactly after the -900 tests are done.

MSN5000 wings being tested at ultimate load (1.5 times the limit load) showing a five metre deflection at the wing tips And this arguably was the major news of the day (with the possible increase in the 350-800 size) ... This is a significant reduction in program risks.

What is the exact procedure for the ultimate load test please? How long does it need to withstand the UL-pain before they relax it? Do they do it once or repeatedly?

Nice video but it doesn't answer my question. IIRC they have to do UL for 30 seconds but I am not sure.
