How will that help, considering the NEO has a new engine? The only thing I could see the logic to test is if they have implemented som new aerodynamic features While I do not have a specific answer, we know that Airbus is used to testing out certain aspects and configurations of future types beforehand on existing aircraft.

Except for the test equipment on the top of the tail, I've tried to see if I could find any difference vs other A321s. However, I can't find any, but other eyes might?

Some sort of probe is on the horizontal stabiliser We've seen this on the A350s as well. Further confirms that this aircraft is in Airbus test configuration.

I can confirm that D-AVZY is being used for the A321neo program.
