A320 production will be increased to some 50-52 aircraft per month. This was supposed to happen in 2017, but was hold at 46 aircraft per month due to engine issues. Note that pre-FAL is already at 52 per month. Such a rate increase translates into 50 to 60 additional deliveries per year. Perhaps I was too quick to show disbelief towards Bregier's 'close to 800' prediction, since 800 means + 82 and the A350 may provide + 30 or so.

If we look at production rates and deliveries. We should expect at least 624, 12*52, A320 family frames to be produced in 2018. Sill below 56 a month, 16TLS + 32XFW + 4BFM + 4TSN = 56. I expect the fourth line in XFW not being fully ramped up yet. Add some of the gliders standing around and it could be 650. This number can easily be higher, XFW could reach full production rate and TSN start ramping to five, that would mean rate 57 frames a month sometime next year, with rate 52 at the beginning of the year. Add 90 A350, 66 A330, 12 A380. That would make it 818 frames to be delivered next year. More than 90 A350s 95-100 !

I'd rather be conservative, 90 A350s is a safe target.

Airbus delivered 558 A320 family frames last year. That would make it 588 frames, that would mean average rate of 46.5.
edit: Airbus delivered 558 A320 family frames last year, that would mean average rate of 46.5.
Add 20 gliders. That would make it 588 frames, that would mean average rate of 48.2.
edit: Add 30 gliders. That would make it 588 frames, that would mean average rate of 48.2.
Airbus started the year with 16TLS + 24XFW + 4TSN + 2BFM = rate 46.
BFM went to rate 4 and XFW added FAL #4 and is somewhere in between 24 and 32 frames at the end of last year.
Airbus must be near rate 52 at the end of 2017 or beginning of 2018.

Spirit's Q4 2017 delivery numbers, posted by Sciing in the 'Best selling widebody' thread, offer an insight into Airbus' and Boeing's present production numbers, and likely upcoming delivery numbers.
Remarkably, Spirit delivered in total 204 shipsets to Airbus and 188 to Boeing in Q4 2017. If we also take into account Airbus' 'glider' inventory sitting in TLS or XFW, which will inflate Airbus 2018 delivery figures, Airbus appears at this stage to be ahead in the 2018 delivery race, provided that no engine or other parts shortage holds deliveries this year.

I thought we have "toilet seats" issue for A350 already ....
