It's that time of the month again, expect to see some movement from flight line to delivery centre in the next few days (MSN235 already), plus a few CAF. Otherwise this August will have ultra low delivery number. Unfortunately MSN 235 will be a September delivery AFAIK. EDIT on AUG 31: Looks like MSN 235 will fly home today. But I guess I meant a September delivery flight arrival.

August indeed looks like a vacation month so far. We have only two contractual deliveries (MSN 60 and MSN 167) and three delivery flights (MSN 228) so far this month.
The candidates to make August contractual deliveries are MSN 178 (Very likely) and MSN 169 (likely), and maybe MSN 235 (unlikely). If Airbus is able to deliver 5 A350s on their traditional vacation month, I'd say it's a pretty good result.
I do have high hopes on next month's delivery on A350 front when SQ ULR frames start rolling; mainland Chinese airlines (CA, 3U, HU) continue to take their inventories and of course QR (who currently have four frames having first flight) consistently take deliveries like what they've been doing this year.

Despite it being holiday season Airbus has made excellent progress towards clearing their inventory of previously assembled A350s.
All the main issues have been resolved. QR -900s and -1000s for both CX and QR are moving forward. Deliveries for mainland China have now started. Further potential problems with delays resulting from HNA financial problems and the development of the -900ULR seem to have been averted.
Details ;
-1000s total 6
QR 110,125,141,161,215 CX. 206
QR -900s total 5
163,172,207,211,214
Mainland China total 4
52,55,98,112 ( 52 and 55 have been commercially delivered to AerCap whilst remaining at TLS )
Inventory down to 15, with 10 for QR and likely to reduce rapidly.

A lot more progress with the inventory of previously assembled frames flying away from TLS. If we look at just the frames that haven’t reached the flightline they are all for QR. www.a350-production.com/production-list2 -900s. 211 and 214 3 -1000s 161, 215 and 229 Hopefully all these will join the flightline soon. Looking at MSN sequence gives a rather different perspective of which frames have not left TLS and what the issues are causing that.
There are no major production issues outstanding with Airbus , all these frames have specific airline related issues.
Highest MSN delivered
243 PR 9/10/2018
Lowest MSNs on the Flightline/Delivery Centre
52 owned by AerCap awaiting transfer to 3U 55 owned by AerCap awaiting transfer to 3U, May be in short term storage 141 QR -1000 207 QR 216 SQ former ULR test frame 225 CX -1000 231 CA minor delay after Certification hold up 232 SQ ULR 233 CX -1000 238 SQ ULR
All of these should leave TLS by the end of 2018 when the departure sequence could be as close to MSN sequence as it ever will be.
Highest MSN on the Flightline
256 HX
Lowest MSNs not on the Flightline
2 unsold former test frame stored at BOD 4 unsold former test frame stored at LDE 65 BF former -1000 test frame being reworked at XFW 71 VS former -1000 test frame being reworked at XFW 161 QR -1000 parked at TLS 211 QR parked at TLS 214 QR parked at TLS 215 QR -1000 cabin fit at TLS 224 OZ delayed entry to final assembly due to airline deferral 226 HU delivered to JJ, stored at TLS awaiting transfer to HU in 2019
Current test frames and museum frame excluded.

Who’s going to fly away from TLS by the end of October ?
52, 141, 207, 216, 225, 232 ?
Could be a busy week at the Delivery Centre.
