Good to see that 2018 deliveries have now started. I’m looking to see how quickly Airbus can progress the delivery of frames that have been held up whilst ramping up to Rate10. Including those that have been handed over commercially, I make it 23 frames that are delayed leaving TLS, for various reasons. MSNs up to and including 178. The reasons are ; China/CAAC 7 frames QR 14 frames -1000 8 frames 6 of the frames are both QR and -1000. I’m going to monitor these every month to see how quickly Airbus can clear the decks ! Geoff Some good progress with the delayed frames at TLS. Two of the QR frames have now left, including the first -1000. One new QR frame, MSN100 has joined the flightline. Three QR frames are now in cabin fit. The first CX -1000 should roll out after painting any day now. No progress with the 7 frames delayed awaiting CAAC certification. It will take several months to clear this backlog and that will inevitably lead to further frames being delayed. The first of these is the third -1000 for CX, MSN188, which will stay in TLS for several more months before delivery. Geoff

No progress with the 7 frames delayed awaiting CAAC certification. No progress? Let's see: MSN 98/112/167 just got their registrations assigned (B-1069/1070/1086), and MSN 98 has been pulled out of storage.

Let's see: MSN 98/112/167 just got their registrations assigned (B-1069/1070/1086), and MSN 98 has been pulled out of storage. No flying, no announcement of certification. Some shuffling of frames, but is that really progress towards them leaving TLS ? Geoff

Help me please, what does this signify ? Geoff This might be towards the right direction, but some A330s have Chinese reg assigned four months ago, are still in TLS.

Help me please, what does this signify ? Registrations are handed out by the government. The carriers knowing them is a sign that a decision in principle to certify the aircraft has been made. The remaining question is when will the decision be official, but a few weeks more or less do not matter much.
