It would be interesting to know what changes Airbus is making to the production line in order to speed things up? 3 posts up thread ! Basicly, some new buildings where they will join fuselage parts ahead of putting them into the current FAL building or transporting them to the new FAL at Mobile. Edit - e.g. Joining cockpit to forward fuselage, prior to entry into the final FAL building.

This is only part of the answer as this by itself won't stop the 10 to 12 test flights that seem to be required prior to delivery. Airbus NEO seems average around 13 days from first flight to delivery.

That bits down to the Canadian authorities, it will change when they adopt the French authorities rules 😉

Production is still at an early stage, it is probably still beset with many problems. Airbus needs to move further on the learning curve to show progress.
