It is quite strange that such conversion [from -ceo to -neo] did not happened so far. I believe that, in exchange for quick delivery slots and lower purchase prices, end-of-line -ceo contracts may include specific clauses reducing the buyer's conversion rights. This would have helped planning for the migration to -neo.

This would have helped planning for the migration to -neo. I was talking about the URAL Air order of 7 ceo which is a really strange one. The order seems to be 12 years old, so long before any NEO was in planning. www.airbus.com/newsroom/press-releases/en/2007/10/ural-airlines-signs-a-firm-order-for-seven-airbus-a320s.htmlThey had/have 52 ceos in their fleet over the time, but never took a new one, even not from a lessor. The 3 neos they took now are the 1st one fresh from the FAL, but they are not ordered by them.
