This is all happy and fine - what I had in mind were customers like DELTA or AA or UNITED - or maybe some European ones too - to open routes from "secondary" US cities to "secondary" EU ones .... and similar. Routes which are still operated by 757s and routes which are slightly off reach for the 757 and of course the B737(even MAX)/A32x(even neo) but are too thin for A330/B787 so are not opened at all and the travellers are stuck with change of aircrafts in two hubs on both sides of the "pond".
But maybe it is a dream ?

Is this guy Vincent Hodder serious? Honestly I hate this kind of articles, putting 8 hours of flight and 250 pax in the same sentence Paris - Las Vegas ? That's 5000nm and often it's a 11-hour flight on A338, the A321LR/XLR flies a bit slower. And on the destination you still need fuel for alternate and reserves. Some people putting the bar too high, is it for a later disappointment? LR/XLR will have their successful niche, without exaggerations. I hope Airbus quickly announce the specifications and how much volume for fuel it can squeeze into XLR to stop some wild and unrealistic speculations

his statement is a bit odd. everything we've read says Airbus wants to launch with an order of 200 planes. Yet Mr. Neeleman is saying he will be at the front of the line to order, yet, would love if it were coming sooner.. We are are being told, Airbus is in talks with Airlines....in just about 3 weeks we will know more

I can imagine the gigantic "sigh of relief" when this Airplane is actually announced. Unlike the MOM, everyone involved here actually sees a market and business case for the XLR. on a separate but somewhat related topic, any further updates on the CRFP wingbox??
