Presumably using Airbus to keep Boeing’s prices down. Geoff I agree with your comments. somehow, i remain unconvinced about the "big" order. just call it intuition.

Presumably using Airbus to keep Boeing’s prices down. Geoff Won't hold my breath on Airbus getting this. A relatively small airline (long haul fleet smaller than Finnair etc.), already operating the 787. They would be better off sticking to the one type and if they need anything larger, the -10 should work well enough.

The airport is too small anyways, every single time I passed through WAW they made us use the bus for remote parking lots, never got the chance to use a real gate However I think they're expanding into other airports /hubwise, BUD for example I reckon, could that be it?

Presumably using Airbus to keep Boeing’s prices down. Yes, the odds of an order from LOT for a non-American widebody are about as high as the same order from El Al ...

LOT medium and long haul is all Boeing, B737s and B787s, I checked one of my books from 1995 and that was also B737s and B767s, no Airbus products !

Just curious. I understand El Al's situation but what is the reason for which you imply LOT is tied to Boeing? Though the country is a member of the European Union, its national priority is sticking to US policies with a hope of getting a higher degree of protection. This is because the country still fears pressure (or more) from Russia (in the short term, more than from Germany - in the long term, who knows ?). As a result, all aerospace purchases are skewed towards the US.

Germany is dangerous only by the HUGE influence of silly-idiotic green policy, nothing more. Faaaar of topic and should not be here at all - I just had to react. SORRY. But I am not sure it has significant influence on LOT airplane policy... Also the El-Al is not that obvious. Arkia and Sun d'Or which is basically El-Al has Airbuses, so.....

They tried in the past to buy Airbuses and the government cancelled the decision. LOT ? They aren't even going to try ...
