Will the 6 leased frames out of the already ordered ALC batch? Than we would look at only 8 additional frames.

Will the 6 leased frames out of the already ordered ALC batch? Than we would look at only 8 additional frames. The six leased A339s aren't new orders for Airbus. The A330neo was launched with mostly lessor orders, so that the latter have sometimes been competing with Airbus.

Sorry to reply to this in wrong place, but VS has 4 options on B787, not 7 - three of those already exercised. But VS also has 20 purchase rights on B787 on top of those 4 options.

I've discuss the VS future A35Xs delivery here a380.boards.net/thread/1499/virgin-atlantic-a350s?page=8&scrollTo=153826Although Financial Times only mentioned A333s for Virgin in 2022, it maybe possible for VS to accept some A339s if not all in 2021-2024 as planned. All 10 A333s are on 10-year lease deals with AerCap (7), Avolon (1) and CDB (2), the first five are due to return to leaser in 2021, then the remaining five in 2022. The first six of 14 A339s will come from ALC and scheduled in 2021-2022. So VS could either carry on taking A35Xs and reduce the number of A333s when the lease expire in 2021, or slow down the speed of accepting A35Xs (while the overall production rate is going down anyway) and swap some A333s with A339s. As long as VS survive, it will not be too bad for Airbus, it will delivery either A35Xs or A339s to VS in the next two years. That's why the chief executive of Airbus UK is lobbying the government to support VS.
