„Airlines delay new order, since it is clear that both models (-800 and -900) will get an update (-1000).“ 😂😂😂 The article talks about that the -1000 is getting an update, no talk about -800 or -900. Quote Hintergrund der Drosselung ist laut Insider die dünne Zahl der Neubestellungen. Denn seit klar ist, dass das jetzige Modell ein Update bekommt (-1000), zögern die Airlines mit Neubestellungen. (that journalist should take a course to learn proper German, but perhaps I am old fashioned.)

According to the article Airbus denied that they are reducing the production rate on the A350. Read the next post

Somewhere along the line Austrianaviation.net found out they published an article written by a complete idiot and somebody has re-written most of it. What you quote above was never, ever in the original article, the rubbish about the -800 mentioned by sciing was.

There have been some rumors about Azul actually taking delivery of some A350s after all and flying them to NYC... Might the first one be MSN308, which was ferried from LDE to XFW for painting a few days ago?

A change from 10 to 9 ? I doubt Airbus would fine tune the production pace to that degree !

Airbus says Air France gets the 350th A350. That means it was handed over before the Asiana which departed TLS yesterday.

This is really weird, especially the emphasis on "today".
If MSN381 has been delivered before MSN387, surely today is not the "special day" as they described.
Please don't tell me the aerospace engineers can't even count? :<

Placed here now since the Delta A350 incident because it involves all A350 operators: A350 cockpits must have ‘liquid free’ zone after spill incidents By David Kaminski-Morrow5 February 2020 www.flightglobal.com/news/a350-cockpits-must-have-liquid-free-zone-after-spill-incidents/136561.articleAirbus A350 operators have been ordered to define a “liquid prohibited” zone in the cockpit, after two incidents in which beverage spillages on the centre pedestal led to in-flight shutdown of a Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine. FlightGlobal exclusively revealed last month that a liquid spill had preceded a Delta Air Lines A350 shutdown and diversion on 21 January, and that a spill on an Asian carrier’s A350 was suspected to have resulted in a similar shutdown and diversion last November. In an emergency directive the European Union Aviation Safety Agency has warned that inadvertent spillage on the engine-start panel or electronic centralised aircraft monitor panel – both located on the pedestal – could potentially result in a dual engine shutdown.
