I suppose this has to do with the connection of the TCAS with the auto-pilot or some such connection? A valid point in an ever-more automated world, but probably not a big deal. I really can't see how "external sources" could gain access to an airplane, an airplane is not like a notebook with wifi that you can crack and break into. Even an Airbus cannot be remotely controlled.
