Alternately, they could take 2 of MH's frames. But those are not configured for domestic usage.

In the past Transaero have used their long haul 747s with "Imperial Class" (First) on domestic runs as well, haven't they? So that shouldn't be too much of a problem for them.

There are two questions: 1:The statement describing the seating as originally ordered from AB 2:The possibility of any A380 delivered to TN in September
So the obvious answers to these questions strongly contradict each other.

It is mentionned in the article the CEO "said last year" about the configuration, if this story is true the mighty configuration might have changed.
Seeing the 2 ex-BC for EIS this Summer? I wouldn't buy it, we would have heard this in the news, AND the frames would have started moving already.
Seeing 2 MH-franes? I can't buy it, we would have heard it in the news as well.......
...what do we have left?..

Just a hypothetical, if Transaero were to take MH's aircraft (and despite what my earlier post might have suggested, I do think it is unlikely that UN will operate the A380 anytime soon) how long will it take to reconfigure half of the aircraft's business class section with economy seats?

It seems we all here have the same perception - surprisingly we all are saying exactly the same . If in the statement would be next year we are all happy with it and can accept it readily.

the link above mentions an original PR in Russian ... Is there someone on the forum able to check the content and perhaps confirm or correct it? Oddly enough, even miles-and-points-blogger Lucky (allegedly the only person to have reviewed A380 First Class on every airline that operates the aircraft) seems to be pretty enthusiastic.
