I did not know that the A400M had a common cockpit with the A380 ? We now know what the military pilots will be flying when they leave the forces

How does the A400M works in other countries? In Germany only 1 of the delivered 8 are able to fly at the moment (media in Germany reports this, i don't know if this is true). And not funny for Airbus and the German Luftwaffe, the Defence minister flow last week with a A400M (54+07) to Lithuania and have to flow back with a old Transall, cause one of the engines of the A400M was broken.

The RAF ones are quite active, have a look at the Brize Norton movements at bzzspotters.blogspot.co.uk/

I think some of the problems are typical German bureaucratic problems. The A400M is not the only example. In regards to the Eurofighter, some problems other airforces just ignored in regards to operations, the aim was still to resolve the problems, led to grounding of nearly all German frames. Using German standards, other airforces would have the majority of their planes grounded, including the US airforce and Navy.

Maybe most of them are waiting for or are in reconfiguration for the enhanced tactical capabilities. I would not be surprised if the German newspaper "forgot" to mention this.

I think Germany ordered frames both with and without the tactical capabilities.
