I hope the reshuffle does not mean the programme still is not under control. The A400 M might end up losing more money than the A380 ...

The program is not under control, but big thinks have to happen to make the loss bigger than on the A380. I think Airbus just has to swallow the cost. It will be very difficult to get more money out of the current customers. Airbus just has to try to sell mor birds in the next years. Regarding the engines, the redesigned main gearbox seems be getting finished. |

Regarding helicopters, I thought the refueling system had been redesigned, longer 36m hose on the refueling pod, and the test have shown that that seemed to be the solution for helicopters. |

You are right, though for the moment the new design is a proposal from Airbus. From the above piece : "the company has successfully tested an extended refuelling hose that can allow the Atlas to support helicopters', Alonso says, 'and it is now waiting for OCCAR to approve the proposed redesign'. |
