In May, Airbus only booked orders for 3 A320s (Ceos) for Easyjet. Interesting order. Could this be a hint that the fleet replacement order is tipping towards NEO over MAX? .... With a NEO order to be disclosed during the airshow?

I spoke to a friend of mine who works for Easyjet, he told me that they are saying that they are looking at 737MAX and Cseries as replacements for their current fleet, but it is all smoke and mirrors. Easyjet will not want to retrain their pilots as their current fleet is all A319/A320s. I guess it's gonna be NEOs for them!

Easyjet will not want to retrain their pilots as their current fleet is all A319/A320s. That's one good reason why NEO would be better for them. Another reason is that the two GTF engines will have a lot more common in terms of maintenance and parts compared to the LEAP on the MAX. So a NEO is a no-brainer if they're indeed going for the CSERIES. However, if Boeing can provide concessions on training and a much lower price, MAX could still be on the cards.

IIRC, the 787 order was firmed but the engine selection was still not finalised pending the A350 order outcome. The article seems to imply that the 787s will be powered by GE.

I will guess one of the A350 orders will be from Air France

Hmm...no mention of the A380... So that means there is an A380 order coming up! Fingers crossed...
