Maybe you need to move your post to the correct Thread This is the A320neo thread, not the A330neo Thread. Or the A330 MRTT thread either I assume the going all neo comment was imprecise and misunderstood to include all Airbus frames and not only all A320 type frames.

Or the A330 MRTT thread either I assume the going all neo comment was imprecise and misunderstood to include all Airbus frames and not only all A320 type frames. First, to answer mape question, Airbus targets 2018 as transferring to full A320neo production, they haven't specified a month yet so in theory it can be January 2018 but also November or December 2018. Between now and that point the neo production will slowly ramp up and ceo production will slowly ramp down... So expect to see more and more neo's rolling of the Final Assembly Lines and the ceo will become a rare sight at the facilities in TLS & XFW and later TSN & BFM In my view mape's question was right and indeen probably misinterpreted by philidor, but to suggest to move the reply because it says A330neo in stead of A320neo because of a mistake (probably) or even a typo..... I must say the post moving policy is just too tight here, if a post is just a little bit off topic a movement suggestion is posted or it is even moved without that leaving all threads with partial posts of other discussions in other threads. Sometimes going a bit off topic or writing about another aircraft type is neccessary to clear something up or just to keep the discussion going..... Now I'm going off topic myself, so I stop typing before this is moved as well

Well, I obviously thought we were discussing A330 ceo/neo. Sorry for the confusion. I suggest deletion of my posts and of all the replies.

Ah, good, good! QR already had the A350. I always liked to see different airlines having the honour of receiving a new type. Unlike the A350, the neo had many more in the pipeline awaiting delivery. So even if AAB held back his delivery, somebody else less fussy was going to take it.

Frankly, in this case I understand QR. According to the AW article, the engine is not fully ready, which subjects the aircraft to some minor operational restrictions. AAB gives perfect operation priority over publicity ; he is not to blame for that, LH making a different choice does not make QR wrong.
EDIT : I am sure LH will be nicely compensated by P&W if they take delivery as is this year.

Not sure you are right, QR puts publicity above everything, otherwise why fly an A350 to NYC to announce not much ! i think the QR A320neo flight over UK airspace is to speed up its delivery, eg making them first customer to accept an A320neo, they don't have to operate it
