At the moment max for A321 is 220 seats. A 240 seater is on offer for A321NEO.
In general A321 has been ordered by some LCC (in Europe WizzAir and Vuelig) and I think more will follow. For others turnaround times might be an issue though.

It seems to me that Boeing is more hard pressed to get as many 737 sales out of the door as they can, as they may have to go for the narrowbody replacement sooner than Airbus.

Both can do nothing else than to increase production. Look at their order books.
The length of the waiting period is starting to be toooooooo long.

Oh, I thought Airbus recently voiced doubts over further increases to their currently planned production rate. Airbus to Resist Matching Boeing’s Single-Aisle Production Surge And I thought that it was 50/mo, not 54/mo, that was considered. |
