I have experienced an emergency landing due to a fire alarm. Ever since I am not really comfortable on whatever plane.
So in case of the 787 and its recent issues I'd probably be even less comfortable.
Still, I wouldn't avoid it.

I wouldn't turn down a Boeing flight on grounds of safety. They're right on top in that regard as is Airbus. However, I'm willing to give the 787 some time before making a trip on it. Given the recent string of incidents, I feel it needs some more time to right itself, at least for convenience's sake. Does anyone know when Air Canada gets its first 787?

I think beginning of 2014, unless this was pushed back again with all the delays

I would enjoy it ! Issues have been addressed, the aircraft is safe. I agree, the issues have been addressed but with the whole fleet grounded, perhaps Boeing were obliged to address it! I would prefer to wait: A) to see if it passes the safety authority scrutinies B) that it has a period without even 'contained' fires
