Yes, the timeline had been previously announced. So, the Cseries is on track to be certified in 2015 and delivered to its launch customer up to six months later. I think the timeline is Swiss' choice, not BBD's, and it was the reason why BBD was so long to officialise Swiss as the launch operator.

SWISS is in the process of getting rid of the RJ100s - they have many, some are being replaced by ex NIKI E190s so the delivery of first few pcs should not be significant in any way ?

SWISS is in the process of getting rid of the RJ100s - they have many, some are being replaced by ex NIKI E190s so the delivery of first few pcs should not be significant in any way ? Swiss had not initially planned to be the CSeries launch operator. Their delivery schedule was therefore based on their own requirements, not on the overall programme planning. Then BBD asked them to take up the launch operator role, but I believe Swiss stuck to its own schedule, refusing to change it to accomodate BBD. This the only way I can reconcile BBD reconfirming certification is expected in 2015, while planning first delivery at mid-2016. No doubt BBD would like to deliver the aircraft in early 2016, but in order to do that they must have a customer accepting the timeline. As to why would Swiss not accept to move deliveries up, I don't know. Maybe there is still some haggling going on, with Swiss demanding a larger launch operator discount.
