Sorry, I must have been drunk when I posted that ! I thought it was NZ supporting the Wallabies, when the pictures clearly show QF ! Oh good. Now imagine if Air France painted "Allez les Roses" on their aircraft.

That's sort of what I said about putting the St George's flag (England) on the Qantas plane May be all competing countries should commit to painting one plane in the Winners chosen scheme After its over !!

Looks like QF will be putting some decals on an A380 to support the Wallabies in the upcoming rugby world cup. I think they should put the St. Georges cross on it Well, each Qantas aircraft has an Australian flag on it and 1/4 of the Australian flag is the Union Jack which incorporates the St George's cross so there you go!

QF's CEO has confirmed that Qantas has no intention of taking the remaining 8 A380s they have on order. www.ausbt.com.au/qantas-ceo-no-plans-for-more-airbus-a380sI forgot to mention this previously (sorry!) but I had the opportunity to listen to a presentation from someone very senior at Qantas a few months ago and when I asked, he said practically the same thing [on not taking the remaining 8 aircraft], and when asked about whether they were interested in a neo, he said not really.

QF's CEO has confirmed that Qantas has no intention of taking the remaining 8 A380s they have on order. So with all the other "orders in doubt", if no new orders are placed we'll never reach msn 300

You already in February 2014 said in this thread that delivery of the 8 on order was in doubt. On February 21 2014 Qantas said they would postpone indefinitively delivery of the remaining aircraft. It is sad news for us as A380 fans, but from Qantas' point of view very logical, seeing what the newer generation of very capable twins is capable of. I begin to think that unless a miracle happens - like another follow-on order from Emirates - there is no other option left for Airbus to stop production altogether, possible after buying time with another reduction.
