I wonder if those will be the 330R - probably - and probably in 3-3-3 seating. They cite that they dropped the 787-8 because they needed more seats. So expect this one to be packed. I still skeptical of the timeline of this airline's growth plans however. For some reason, I think they have ordered too much capacity too soon and we could expect some deferrals.

They cite the the need to use larger aircraft to meet existing demand on domestic routes. This seems to be realistic, but how many A330s are needed ?

From XWB's link, China Southern's previous A330 premium economy configuration was pretty innovative ... "Different from previous 3-4-3 configuration in premium economy, the new A330 wide-body aircraft has 42 premium economy class seats in 2-3-2 configuration, with the economy class seats in 2-4-2 configuration unchanged."
