What I don't get then: Why no swap around an EK frame and MSN 162. MSN 162 will take far longer as HoV and this effect could also be increased as Airbus doesn't have much experience with BC (only 2 A330s so far). Going a bit off topic now, but: Could part of the reason why all BA A380s were so much delayed be that the A380 was the first long haul Airbus for BA and therefore no one at Airbus had ever worked with the long haul seats of BA before (assuming no one had worked for Boeing before) and could this also translate onto BC? I think that there hasn't been much experience gained yet from only 2 A330s and I guess BC will not configure their A380s in a one-class all Y+ layout like there A380s, but at least 2-class.

I do not believe this is the case. I believe that at AB they are experienced enough to not have a problem with any configuration. Maybe some take a few days more-less to put but not weeks. There would be other issues.

Any outfitting issue would show after transfer to HFW. A problem in TLS in unlikely to be linked to customization.

I think a lot of the work not regarding straight FAL or straight outfitting work can be done either in Toulouse or in Finkenwerder. We seem to have had for example wing repair in both places. Today we have news about a engine run on MSN158 who has also returned to Toulouse on the first flight. So my assumption is if on the first flight the frame goes back to Toulouse, they found something they want to do in Toulouse, perhaps it depends even on where the have an empty bay to do the work..

Usually A380_TLS_A350 will write First and Ferry flight. He didn't write under his photos. I wonder if it was planned to return to TLS THX for that info - I didn't realize that subtle indicator. In addition my source had no notice of a ferry flight to XFW. So FF TLS-TLS seemed to be planned.

I guess this might be a good clue but I can remember a couple of times where he had captioned 'First Flight', and seeing the ferry happening, changing it into 'First and Ferry Flight'...... Fabien

It is late announcement of the flight from APR 2. I just found that that the complete fr24 picture was missing so Here it is:
