Well, what you think now? Not much, I find it hard to believe that Skymark is desperate enough to cancel the order at this advanced stage. Probably BC's financial situation deteriorated to a point I could not imagine. If you want me to say that I was wrong, well, I was. No my friend, not, so sorry, excuseme please, i don´t want say you was wrong, i only want say like the airlines say have problems with interior cabin, when the true is they haven´t for pay the new planes. OMG, i go to start study english, excuseme please, i don't want you think that i want you ridiculous.

Could Skymark just have changed their strategy, just as did Hong Kong Airlines and Air Austral, though perhaps dictated by financial uncertainties?...

This is sad news, but before starting the swan song on Skymark, I think we should wait for some official statement. This is the mentioned Bloomberg article: www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-07-28/airbus-said-to-drop-order-for-six-a380-jets-with-japan-s-skymark.htmlJust reading the name "Aboulafia" in there makes me suspicious... From the source article: In other words: rumors... So, even according to their own information, it is not yet clear if the deal is really off or just deferred. The headline "Airbus said to drop order..." is therefore misleading at best, or just outright wrong, and another example for a horrible piece of journalism! Don't get me wrong: the worst case scenario might still come true - I don't know that. But neither does Bloomberg, and they are just throwing the news out prematurely so afterwards they can claim that they were the first to report. And if it turns out differently, the story will soon be forgotten, and no harm done (for them)... That said, I still hope that Skymark will go through with the deal. I REALLY want to have an A380 operator here in Japan! Let's wait and see what will be revealed in the coming days.

Like someone already posted, Skymarks A330s are leased (from IAP, I think). So there are indeed no orders from Skymark, but planes intended for Skymark. How this will affect the negotiation positions, is a different question...

It is than given. We can just speculate what will happen with those two manufactured frames. It seems there is nothing inside so the interior could be probably set for anyone without big problems. The engine type must probably stay. For instance BA would be good customer - same engines. They are replacing a lot of their 747-400 and seems to be happy with A380 - so maybe if they got those at very good price ?
