It seems there is nothing inside so the interior could be probably set for anyone without big problems. While the interior is yet to be installed, there is a lot of preparartion for the interior such as cabling, etc, which may need significant modification to fit a current customer's interior One of the mistakes Airbus did with the A380 was the level of customer spesifications offered on the A380, meaning the inside of the airplane varies much more from customer to customer vs other airplanes. Airbus had this in mind when they designed the A350

In a press statement in Japanese Skymark said today that the airline is hopeful to find a solution, without saying in what direction this will go. Skymark also says Airbus is threatening with heavy fines if the order is cancelled. Airbus is said to have suggested that Skymark should find a strong partner airline, in order to be able to fulfil its obligations.
But Airbus issued this press release, confirming the order is off:
''Following discussions with Skymark Airlines and in light of the airline’s expressed intentions in respect of the A380, Airbus has in accordance with its contractual rights, notified Skymark Airlines that the purchase order for the six A380s signed in 2011 has been terminated. Airbus is reserving all its rights and remedies.''

For instance BA would be good customer - same engines. I'm hoping for KLM to take them (like they took that orphan A330)! AF/KLM group has experience working with the A380. So two (three?) frames shouldn't be that much of a problem for KLM? If needed swap out the RRs for EAs. Please make it happen.

In retrospect, MSN 162 flights at the end of July may have been intended to force BC to clarify its position. Financial instalments are usually due at certain stages of completion, and I would not be surprised if Airbus gave BC notice at the same time.

In retrospect, MSN 162 flights at the end of July may have been intended to force BC to clarify its position. How?... Financial instalments are usually due at certain stages of completion, and I would expect a large instalment to be due when the aircraft flies ... MSN 162 having been transferred back to TLS, Airbus may have decided to fly it again - just to demonstrate that she could - while giving BC notice that the next instalment was due. BC then had to decide to commit more money to its A380s or to break its commitments. Failure to pay was a breach of contract by BC, allowing Airbus to terminate the contract.

Amsterdam is very A380 friendly, but it depends who the owner/operator is. It's more KLM versus Emirates than Schiphol versus A380. There are two gates available (G9 and E18). With spotters and fans (like me!!!) the aircraft is very popular. On August 1 we celebrate her second anniversary here. KLM stated more than once that the A380 doesn't fit the business model, so forget the Skymark aircraft ending up in KLM blue. My guess is BA will take 162 and 167 will go to Emirates.

I more meant that AMS only has 2 A380 gates and IIRC many of the taxiways are incompatible. With regards to the existing frames, I agree, I think 162 will go to BA, but I'm not sure about 167. I know it has been done before, but how easy is it to convert from RR to EA engines. I think BA could be convinced to take both. Or maybe Asiana...
