End November totals from Airbus and Boeing now included in my spreadsheet. Big milestone this month as the 787-9 overtakes the 777-300ER as the best selling passenger widebody model of all time. Now ahead 868 to 838. Boeing leads Airbus for year to date PASSENGER WIDEBODIES by just 152 to 143 ( Airbus delivered 17 versus 14 for Boeing in November ) docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LK3NGr1kFwYC9bk8u52J3X28fTAr3kPttsktJYHt2U8/edit?pli=1Note that I have given up waiting for Boeing to restart reporting the 777-8 and 777-9 separately. I now show all 777X orders as 777-9. Year to date deliveries to end of November ( month of November totals in brackets ) - passenger models only 787-9 99(7) A350-900 77(10) A330-900. 34(4) 787-10. 30(3) A350-1000. 19(1) 777-300ER. 15(2) 787-8. 8(2) A380-800. 6(1) A330-300. 5(1) A330-200. 2(0) In addition Airbus has delivered 4 A330-200 for conversion to MRTT. Boeing has delivered 48 widebody freighters : 7x747, 16x767, 25x777 plus 24x767s for conversion to the military version. Boeing has now delivered 72 non-passenger widebodies this year out of their total of 224. Geoff

A noteworthy milestone has been passed with the latest A330 ‘order’.
Total sales ( unfilled orders plus deliveries) for all derivatives of the A300 have reached more than 3000. Great achievement.
A300 - 561
A310 - 255
A330 - 1823
A340 - 377
Total - 3016

i just looked at the order backlog and was quite surprised that Airbus has a larger backlog. ok, it's just 28 frame, but, with the constant A vs B widebody debate, and Boeing having the larger share of this market...I somehow did not expect that.. always something to learn here...thanks ghorn

i just looked at the order backlog and was quite surprised that Airbus has a larger backlog. Major reasons for that are : - Boeing has maintained a very high 787 production rate, whereas Airbus has kept a more conservative A350 production pace. - the 77W and 77F backlog has been depleted, while demand for the 777X has been tepid so far. - Boeing hasn't launched the NMA.

End January figures from Airbus and Boeing now included in my spreadsheet. Good start to the year for Airbus sales with the 10 A350-900s booked for Air France docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LK3NGr1kFwYC9bk8u52J3X28fTAr3kPttsktJYHt2U8/edit?pli=1I expect the number of PASSENGER WIDEBODIES delivered in 2020 to be similar to last year but with Boeing delivering fewer 777-300ERs, I make Airbus favourites to overtake them. Boeing leads 7 to 3 after the first month ! Year to date deliveries for passenger models only : 787-9 5 A350-900 2 A330-900 1 787-10 1 777-300ER 1 A350-1000 0 787-8. 0 A380-800. 0 A330-300. 0 A330-200. 0 Boeing delivered a 777 freighter and 2 of the 767 military variant in January. Geoff In the above table, I read that Boeing delivered six passenger widebodies in January (5 789s and 1 78J). Am I confused?

Good spot, you are not confused. I left off the 777-300ER delivered to United. I’ll correct my post.
Thanks.
