What was Airbus' record year? 168 passenger widebody deliveries in 2019 is their best. Can’t see any records being set in 2021. Geoff

Boeing ( a 777-300ER ) and Airbus ( an A350-900 ) each delivered just one passenger widebody in February.
Year to date total deliveries per model are ;
777-300ER 3 A350-900. 2 A330-800. 1
Boeing has now delivered 825 777-300ERs. There are probably just 8 more to be delivered so should be finished this year.
Top models for deliveries are ;
777-300ER. 825 A330-300. 771 A330-200. 645
Next comes the 787-9 with 556, which ‘should’ overtake the top three over the next 3 or 4 years.

Boeing delivered 9 ( 8x787-9 and 1x787-8 ) and Airbus 8 ( 6xA350-900 and 2xA330-900 ) passenger widebodies in April with both no doubt hoping that they will be able to sustain this rate through 2021. Year to date deliveries per model (series) are ; A350-900. 15 787-9. 10 777-300ER 5 A330-900. 2 787-9. 1 A350-1000. 1 A330-800. 1 Making year to date totals of 19 for Airbus and 16 for Boeing. Boeing delivered 4 ( 2x777-300ER and 2x787-9) and Airbus 8 ( 7xA350-900 and 1xA350-1000 ) passenger widebodies in March, with signs that airline demand is building. Year to date deliveries per model (series) are ; A350-900. 9 777-300ER 5 787-9. 2 A350-1000. 1 A330-800. 1 This is the spreadsheet I am using to keep the data : docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-EHEqHIl7ApOh9wHzqnisbv6gryAKkVthbWt1evQzYY/editGeoff Good work with numbers as always. I don't think airline demand is building ! these are just the frames the airlines have to take from Boeing and Airbus after there deals on deferals, e.g. they can't afford not to take some.

Not many changes likely for a few years given the slow rate of sales and deliveries, although the 787-9 should overtake the 767-300ER during the current year in terms of deliveries. Possibly the A350-900 might overtake the A330-300 in terms of sales soon also.
