And I don't know why Airbus still lists the 20 unit A330 order by Kingfisher Airlines...do they still exist??? The 20 A330's on order from Kingfisher you mention should be reduced by 5 delivered. Having said that: there are also still 24 A320ceo's still listed as "on order"

I believe Kingfisher still has 60+ A320s listed in the order book.

I believe Kingfisher still has 60+ A320s listed in the order book. Correct, if you count the outstanding orders once placed by Deccan, later Kingfisher Red. That's another 43 on top of the 24 I mentioned above

October month end widebody order and delivery updates have been published by both Airbus and Boeing. I've updated my tables here - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LK3NGr1kFwYC9bk8u52J3X28fTAr3kPttsktJYHt2U8/edit#gid=0Boeing had another strong month for deliveries and will break their own annual industry record, probably next month with a month to spare. The 787 is clear leader in the 'annual delivery race' and may well break the record set by the A330 last year. Boeing passed a milestone by delivering their 4,000th widebody jet airliner. Airbus are lagging last year's delivery record, with problems apparently being more related to customers rather than production. Boeing booked orders for 2 770-300ER and 1 747-8F. No new Airbus widebody orders. They will be desperate to book some business before the year end, as net widebody sales are still negative. A conversion of 1 A330-200 to A330-300 was recorded. Geoff

A couple of points regarding orderbooks.
Airbus still showing orders for 32 A350-800. I guess they are keeping these on the book pending negotiations to convert or cancel.
Boeing still showing all their 286 orders for the next generation 777 as 777X. Are they seriously considering calling them other than 777-8 and 777-9 ?

Geoff They probably consider the possibility of giving the new sub-types a common brand. In that case, we would have a family brand (777), a generation brand (say "ULTRA" or anything they may come up with - as opposed to "CLASSIC") and a sub-type brand (777-8 and 777-9).

They will stick to -8 and -9 due to "Chinese Good Luck" numerology.
