They have other hangars but they don't seem to be in a hurry. Looks like they're still comfortable with the program schedule.

We should indeed have guessed that a deadly accident when painting or about to paint was bound to delay all scheduled paintjob !

Due to the A330 accident, MSN5 went not to paint and will have to wait a little bit longer. The A330 accident? What is it?

The investigation shouldnt take too long therefore it just slight slip in schedule for MSN5 and possible MSN6 can give the test program a hand if Qatar willing to...

As MSN5 is the first aircraft from batch 2, it may well be the frame chosen by Airbus to introduce some changes in the manufacturing process. I look at it the other way round. MSN 5 would be the place to start the normal process and the normal process was explained as painting before the completion stage in P20. I don't believe every A350 will be painted before engine attached. Yes the video shows it that way, but the video is just a demonstrator of how things can be done. I believe it will be the same as the A330: some A330s are painted before engine attachment while others are painted after attachment. Some A330s even make their first flight before being painted. I guess it all depends on the availability of the paint hangar.

Everybody's tight-lipped ... We'll probably be let know when the paint shop is working again.

Any update abour nr. 5? Movement to paint is scheduled for tomorrow. Thanks! If we take a week for paint that gives us May 16th for roll out... I always had some hope that FF in May was stll possible, but after the 16th there are only 2 weeks left making the chance very slim..
