I am wondering about the 2500 FH target, is that what is absolutely needed for certification, or does it include any 'margin' if anything happens requiring an extension of flight test hours?.. Fabien  The number was just an initial Airbus estimate, not a requirement. It certainly provided for the need to perform some tests twice to overcome some problems. Now that everything seems to be running smoothly, they may need fewer hours, but probably they will try to fine-tune the aircraft to get it as mature as possible at entry into service. |

MSN5 should move to paint tomorrow. On the one hand, everything seems to go smoothly with this frame. On the other hand, Airbus has just delayed her first flight into June ... I am looking forward to seeing her fly, as next is QR's MSN 6 ... |

Due to the A330 accident, MSN5 went not to paint and will have to wait a little bit longer.
