So where do they fit 18 frames in.....FR24 is lousy for on the deck coverage at Fink so you do not see the same detail as Toulouse, taxi tests, engine runs, rto's etc....... JT

julytourist I just made a small guide (with the help of an updated Google Maps): This is excellent xxxx. It really helps understanding when not familiar with the site. Great Job; thank you

Thank you insightAviation....... I now understand the layout a lot better. I presume the Google sat image is now well out of date (though it appears newer than Bing). There does not appear to be much space for frames not being worked on inside the outfitting bays...... Have there been more than 18 A380 frames at Fink at any time? Enjoy your evening flight to LGW, weather looks better in London than Hamburg! JT

Wherever you say "A380 FAL", I assume you're referring to the outfitting job, amiright?

julytourist the image is actually not too old. Probably from August 2013. you can see a Korean A380 on the flight line. I think last time a KE was delivered was around August / September. The only thing not on there that I know of is the Beluga loading bay. Might check after I landed in LGW, where I have unlimited mobile data. Thanks for the wishes! Baroque you're right with your assumption. Put down FAL, because at Airbus everybody uses FAL rather than outfitting (was a bit confusing for me at the beginning). Great that it is such a good help!
