Speaking to Flightglobal.com, Airbus executive vice president of programmes Tom Williams said that evaluations are ongoing and a decision has not been made on whether to continue with small performance tweaks, or re-engine the aircraft. He further stated that Airbus intends to clarify its position on an A330 NEO later this year.

If Airbus decides to re-engine, a single supplier will be selected "for simplicity".
As regards wingtip devices, Tom Williams sounded cautious.
Overall, Airbus believes it can certainly keep building the A330s through this decade.
