Speaking to Flightglobal.com, Airbus executive vice president of programmes Tom Williams said that evaluations are ongoing and a decision has not been made on whether to continue with small performance tweaks, or re-engine the aircraft. He further stated that Airbus intends to clarify its position on an A330 NEO later this year. www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/airbus-to-make-a330neo-decision-this-year-396087/If Airbus decides to re-engine, a single supplier will be selected "for simplicity". As regards wingtip devices, Tom Williams sounded cautious. Overall, Airbus believes it can certainly keep building the A330s through this decade. No link to a possible A380 re-engine (see "A380 general chat") seems to have been made in the conversation.

Quite a surprise! The only other CEO I know who publicly hoped for the A330neo is Air Asia's Tony Fernandes.

Well, well, well, Is David Neeleman work for JetBlue before? I remember he was fired from JetBlue back in 2008.
