Airbus seem to have been more conservative (UK winners) in the way they produce production aircraft compared to Boeing, while the test fleet was doing its JOB ! TESTING ?
Dont start building the so called production spec frames to soon. Start slow, get it right, then ramp up!

Is MSN18 and MSN20 the last 2 aircraft requiring the rework? I don't think we know for sure. That seemed to be the plan back when the first test aircraft were in production and Airbus layed out plans for three production blocks. If I remember correctly, MSN 20 should be the last block 2 aircraft. Plans however may have changed - Airbus may have to perform some re-work even on block three aircraft. Block 3 is introducing significant weight reductions in both the MEW and cabin. However, that doesn't mean those aircraft won't require any rework anymore.

That's true, but the plan was certainly to minimise rework or avoid it altogether. Whether or not this is going to be the case from the first block 3 aircraft would be a good question to ask in any Airbus press conference.

MSN19 is now inside the L32 hangar (located at the A380 site).
