It can be confusing because Airbus doesn't always build the MSN's in sequence. MSN8 was loaded in FAL after MSN10.

Hello XWB Many thanks for all your post's and information. I tried to figure out what steps are done in the individual Stations. I have some information for station 59, 50, 40, 30, 18, P (Painting) and 20 Please can you tell me the function from station C63, C64,C65 and L70? I beleave there is any description here on some other subfolder, but maybe you have a fast answer for me.
Best regards A380Admirer Horst

The 'old' A380 site made a great step forward in simplicity when it began explaining the MSN no. hence MSN6 QR1 (as a380boards.net has continued).
Can a similar approach be made for what seems a nonsense for amateurs to have to memorize concerning A350 manufacturing stations? Indeed why does Airbus not use stages 1, 2, 3, etc!
Could the solution here for the A350 be a different one? Is the station no. really required? I'd be happy and informed instantly to see the mail above informing us simply by e.g.:
* MSN 6: engine testing * MSN 7: cabin fitting * MSN 8: engine installation etc ... whatever it is (incorrect terms (I'm sure) to illustrate.
Any thoughts folks?

Probably the quietest week we have had on the FAL and flight line for a month or two. Just some MNS8 movement.
Still really surprised MSN16 is not in FAL yet as now Station 50 is empty and another week we'll see station 40 empty. I think surely it must be in S50 now unless something went wrong.

Please can you tell me the function from station C63, C64,C65 and L70? The L70 building is located at the A380 site, it is the hangar in front of the body join tool. Some believe it was once meant to become a second A380 body join hangar when production would peak 40 jets per year, but that never happened. Airbus is currently using this spare hangar to perform upstream work on the A350. It has room for two A350 jets.

Please can you tell me the function from station C63, C64,C65 and L70? As for the C6x buildings: C63 is a giant hangar with enough room to hold 4 A340-600 sized aircraft. It's being used to perform upstream work on the A330s and A350s that cannot be handled during the normal assembly procedure. Think about special customer requests etc. Additional work that would interrupt the normal assembly process. C65 is a smaller hangar with room for 1 aircraft. Same work as inside C63 is being performed here. C64 is the building that holds the S20H and S20I stations: the stations for cabin furnishing. They are the same as the other S20 stations.
