Lufthansa buys used A350-900 www.aero.de/news-45140/Lufthansa-kauft-gebrauchte-A350-900.htmlFRANKFURT - Lufthansa is expanding its intercontinental capacity. The airline is adding four more A350-900s to its fleet via the second-hand market. Lufthansa is acquiring four more A350-900s. "The aircraft will be acquired by Deucalion Aviation Limited and will be delivered to the group later this year," Lufthansa announced in Frankfurt on Tuesday. According to media information, Lufthansa recently had up to six used A350-900s: four former LATAM aircraft that are waiting for a new operator in the USA and two A350-900s that have been discarded by South African Airways, which have been based in Teruel, Spain, since July 2020 Landing gears stand in the stomach. Lufthansa initially left open whether the newcomers were which aircraft. Looks like LH will lease only 4 ex-LATAM frames (msn 35, 45, 79 and 363), 2 ex-SAA frames previously allocated for lease to LH (msn 226 and 245), now will be leased to Thai Airways from july 2023.

It is not a leasing, if my understanding is right they buy the planes. www.aerotelegraph.com/lufthansa-schnappt-sich-vier-ex-latam-airbus-a350Lufthansa is buying four Airbus A350s from British leasing and aircraft investment company Deucalion Aviation, as announced on Tuesday (May 23). These are jets with serial numbers 035, 045, 079 and 363. They all used to belong to Latam's fleet and two of them have meanwhile also been flying for Qatar Airways.

The ex-SAA (also ex-HU) frames are going to LH afterall. MSN 226 went to paint at MLA today as OE-IPK. flightaware.com/live/flight/OEIPK/history/20230704/1409Z/LSGGTons of heavy metal coming in for LH in the next year or so. The two Avolon frames, 4 ex-LATAM frames, also tons of new build A350-900 and 787-9s.
