It's interesting how our minds work. I get from thebarticle, these newer queiter jets will be used in Frankfurt, mainly due to the noise restrictions. Theybwill spread out the fleet as needed throughout the network.

Just check the numbers .. strange. After LH focused on growth in MUC, FRA rose by 7,78% in 2018 in comparison to MUC 3,76%. Expecting different numbers. Maybe it is about relationship poof FRAPORT and LH ?

Maybe it is about relationship poof FRAPORT and LH ? Are you talking about FRA and MUC in general or the LH numbers in Frankfurt and Munich? For LH: FRA grew 4.7% and MUC: 9.3% (passengers). I meant totals but anyway thanks for link which data are very interesting
LH FRA +4,7% pass but +2% ASKM only BUT ! +7,5% flights LH MUC +9,3% pass +11,8% ASKM and +6,6% flights
So it means LH flight activity rose in FRA more than in MUC but on shorter segments and/or smaller planes. Probably just mixture of both. So could mean also LH found less competition for in MUC on longhaul ?

From what I understand they are converted to options? Anyway, Lufthansa seems to have a rather flexible deal with Airbus
