Here's a video. I never realised that the engine had to be taken apart before fitting inside! I know that this has always been the case for the GE90s due to their exceptionally large size. The Trent XWB seems to be the first RR engine to require splitting into the fan and propulsor modules for transport in a 747 or 777 freighter (read more here). Unless of course you have an oversize cargo transporter like the Beluga or the Antonovs available. I presume Airbus ships it whole most if not all of the time using them.

Amazing film content. Perhaps Airbus might offer a used Beluga for Lufthansa to buy - it would save all that trouble of disassembly and re-assembly!
