Flightglobal reports that ANA has signed a LoI with lessor Intrepid Aviation to take 5 ex-Skymark A330s (MSNs 1483, 1491, 1542, 1554 and 1592) on long term lease. This is positive news! I hope it comes through to fruition. There's not too much of an added cost to ANA for introducing the type as they could simply acquire the Skymark trained pilots and support. I wonder if the original Intrepid lease cancellation by Skymark had this ANA deal as one of the conditions. There would have been a hefty penalty otherwise. WOW, thanks for the loophole!

Author Laura Mueller states this as a fact, not as speculation. Flightglobal says its sources speculate that the LoI might be part of a larger move involving ex-Skymark A380s. The article is behind a paywall, which can be dodged by a timely use of the 'ESC' key. www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/ana-signs-loi-with-intrepid-for-ex-skymark-a330-300s-411356/Future is unknown about remaining 5 ex-Skymark A330s (2 Intrepid and 3 CIT Aerospace). Only one from this 5 frames was in use by Skymark (msn 1574). Four remaining: msn 1607, 1624, 1635 and 1651 wasn't delivered and are stored in TLS and LDE.

And the potential deal for ANA to take over Skymark's A380 order? That will be a massive breakthrough for A380...and Japan market..!

The main cost here would be if ANA need to re-configure the planes as Skymarks configuration was a little odd. I see the Flightglobal article suggest $10-12 million per plane Were all the last four one actually built?

I see the Flightglobal article suggest $10-12 million per plane Were all the last four one actually built? These A330s were built, since according to Flightglobal, the first four were actually leased to Skymark for ten years, the last one was about to be delivered.

Were all the last four one actually built? 1607 was delivered to CIT, but stored. 1624 had her 2nd flight. Information about msn, who are in TLS from digitalairliners.com/toulouse: c/n 1624 A330 F-WWYR. In Skymark colours and my Db has this for CIT Aerospace brokers. Looks to be in temp storage as all windows taped over c/n 1635 A330 in Skymark colours but now registered to Intrepid Aviation partners in my Db. No information about msn 1651 - only was allocated to Intrepid Aviation
