Use different accounts on flickr?...... Might have to do that, ah well! That's going to be inconvenient. I'll be looking for an alternative to flickr. Here's a good starting point to compare different hosting sites. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_image-sharing_websites

Bringing this topic up again as flickr has announced changes that'll limit the amount of photos per free account to 1000 photos (unlimited storage remains for pro accounts which I'm not yet willing to pay for ) . So with that, does anyone know of any good free alternatives? Anyways 1000 photos already is a lot, isn't it?....... One of the rare ones who would have issues maybe is our dear friend A380_TLS_A350, hopefully not........

....... One of the rare ones who would have issues maybe is our dear friend A380_TLS_A350, hopefully not........ Don't forget Eurospot (over 11,000), dn280 (over 3,000), Clément Alloing (over 5,000) and of course Tobias Gudat (spotterxfw, with 9,000). . . . I suppose it was to be expected. SmugMug didn't buy Flickr just for fun.

Thanks, I'll see if there's anything suitable there Anyways 1000 photos already is a lot, isn't it?....... But it builds up over time, both you and I have over 3000 on our respective flickrs ....... Clément Alloing and Eurosport have Pro accounts so they won't be affected by the new limits but sadly at this stage, the other accounts will be affected. Not only will the new limits restrict the ability to upload pictures once an account surpasses 1000 pictures but from early next year, they'll start to delete old pictures to take the account down to 1000 pictures. I fear that'll create a lot of blank pictures, especially in the older threads of this forum.

I believe that’s way a lot of spotters closed their Flickr accounts and started to use Twitter instead.

At this stage, I have decided not to go Pro on flickr and therefore from tomorrow, many of my older images will start to be deleted. Over the next few weeks/months, I will try to replace as many of my pictures that were embedded by flickr on this forum with pics hosted elsewhere so for my pics at least, they won't disappear from the forum entirely. In the meantime, I will continue to be uploading photos on the following sites (Though each site will only contain a much more limited collection of photos) For higher res images --> www.jetphotos.com/photographer/92191/photos?term=JKKW --> www.airliners.net/search?keywords=jkkw (I rarely upload to airliners.net anymore) For lower res images --> www.instagram.com/jonathankkw/ (Updated relatively regularly) --> twitter.com/jonokkw (Updated relatively irregularly)

Thanks for replacing your pictures in the forum Jkkw. This will really help us mods a lot! Also helping the readability of the entire forum.
