Picture of LHR my MUM 80 ! Took last Thursday am on her way back from 2 weeks in Lanzarote, I think her pictures are better than mine ? But she has had more practice than me by 30 years !!!  |

LHR really doesn't have anywhere reasonable to expand has it? I do hope that Gatwick is given the new runway instead of LHR. UK aviation is too LHR-centric for anyone's good (Manchester, Birmingham etc.), let alone the environment from car pollution from at least a 100 mile radius (well and more).

Frankfurt managed to build a new short runway a few years ago, just like LHR wants to. Manchester already has two runways, so why can't they attract enough airlines / passengers to get to the same capacity as LHR? Not where people want to fly to / from ? |
