Well, this goes a bit further than whatever that's been said before. We heard comments before about Airbus (Bregier) saying that it is possible but not studying it at the time. And Leahy was pretty firm on a "no" for a stretch. And now, Leahy himself said that they're studying it?

Yes, but that was last year. With the A350 now in service, Airbus can start looking at additional A350 family members.

From the article Given they're looking at wing and engine improvements to keep the range at a similar figure to the -1000, it's not just a simple stretch of the aircraft.

I thought appropriate to start a new thread ? Good idea, we will be able to use it for the Cargo version, the combo version and the new military tanker/transporter variant as well

Adding another engine would be bad for fleet commonality between the existing A350s.
