-Different topic- I have a question concerning the Beluga XL: Why is Airbus building it based on the A330 and not on the A350? Wouldn't this be more sort of "future proof"? One major reason for the choice of an A332-based development is a short runway at one key British airport (I forgot its name) that the Belugas have to use.

Just put on some Trent XWB-97 and off you go anywhere with fuel for short intra-europe distances. Some 350 based Beluga might be good to go to China as well.

It is probably much more expensive, and at this point, takes up valuable A350 slots?

Some -2000 will only work with some serious customer who wouldn't order -1000s but some competing Boeing instead. EK?
Otherwise I'd say stick with the -1000.

And when you follow that link, it says: I suppose this means the A350-900 will inherit the CRFP door frames from the A350-1000.
