I read that they are taking nine leases, but I found nothing about aircraft type and used condition. Didn't they reduce an A333 order or delay delivery not so long ago, or was that at group level ?

Yes they did axe the remaining A330ceo aircraft on order several years ago, but the company was having financial challenges and growth issues back then. Now they have an aircraft shortage. In hindsight, AirAsia X should have kept that A330ceo order.

In hindsight, AirAsia X should have kept that A330ceo order. That was my thinking as well, but we all know that 'forecasting is very difficult, especially about the future' (there are so many variants of this sentence that I don't know which is best).

As long as there are enough used A330 on the market, they should be fine. As it is, they would not get A330ceo much faster than A330neo.

This quote from Fernandes is great news for the A330neo. With the same data, other customers might order this type.

No news on A330neo. They also removed delivery schedule of A330neo for next 10 years from the presentation slide. It look like they are changing their deliveries schedule and they may wait to take more 251t variant instead.
