It appears the main issue raised by QR is/was the maximum operational temperature. Due to higher-than-expected engine temperature, the aircraft cannot/could not be operated above an outside temperature of 50° C, when 55° were required by QR. That is/was a serious issue, but for just a few airlines. Of course, LH was not concerned.
I believe if/when the issue is solved, QR will take its -neos. It does take its A350 to-day, and it matters little if their process is a bit slower than other customers'.

Philidor I do not believe it is so simple - speaking of those A350. Each delay cost a lot of money. Who is paying those additional expenses ? Somebody here could probably tell us from head how longer those QR frames take on each of the finishing steps..... Than of course QR is the launch customer i.e. he is for sure paying MUCH LESS but he does not behave like a partner but like a hindrance.
Partner in a development process - and being launch customer means you are one ( for obtaining that status you must at first qualify as one and for the help with promoting the product you get significantly lower price of the product) - really does behave completely different !
Up to that are we sure the issue with the neo is really 55 C ? There were various rumors ....

Scott Hamilton of Leeham News and Comment is speculating that part of the reason why QR isn't taking their A320neos is because the airline's growth is slowing and hence they don't necessarily need the aircraft yet. leehamnews.com/2016/10/10/looking-hood-qatar-order/

I doubt the A320neo deferments/cancellations reflect softening demand. If that was the case, widebody deliveries would take center stage. I suggested myself on this forum, not so long ago, that A380 deferments might reflect insufficient demand, but I don't think that could be the case with narrowbodies.
Funding issues, if any, might however concern all aircraft types.

So QR cancelled another two neos for four total now? It seems Qatar has first canceled 1 A320neo, than 2. Another 2 should bring the number of canceled frames to 5.
